Description
The National Roads Institute, INVIAS, awarded the construction of the Pilot Tunnel or guide tunnel of La Línea to the CONLINEA consortium, formed by Conconcreto S.A. and CSS Constructores S.A., located in the Bogotá - Buenaventura - Llanos Orientales road corridor. The pilot tunnel is undoubtedly the first step in one of the most important infrastructure projects for Colombia, as it integrates Buenaventura, Colombia's main port on the Pacific coast, with the interior of the country, the Eastern Plains, western Venezuela and the Orinoco Basin.

The tunnel, which will establish the geological risk of the area in order to define the definitive tunnel, will be 8.5 kilometers long. This work will enable cargo transporters to initially reduce their travel time by 40 minutes between the production centers and the port of Buenaventura, saving fuel and vehicle wear and tear.
