The objective of this concession is to connect the southwest and central-west of the country directly with the port of Cartagena and the north of the country and the north-east of Antioquia with the Ruta del Sol concession through Puerto Berrío. Construction of a new carriageway between Remedios and Zaragoza, improvement of the current Zaragoza-Caucasia section and construction of a new dual carriageway in Caucasia.
